In 1885, Francisco Corbetto Toche and Isabel Dónola de Corbetto founded the winery under the name Viña Santa Isabel. This marriage came to Peru from northern Italy in 1880 as part of the substantial immigration of Italians. At the end of the 19th century, they settled in the Chincha valley in the Sunampe District, south of Lima, where they named the winery in honor of its founder. Knowledge and technology from Italian immigrants to this region had made Chincha one of Peru's most important wine valleys at the end of the 19th century, with more than a hundred wineries dedicated to the production of wine and piscos. Over time, Viña Santa Isabel merged with the Viña Vieja Winery, which now bears the name Agrícola Viña Vieja Viña Santa Isabel SAC.
