The first Instruction on Customs Brokers, which forms the basis of Customs Consultancy in Turkey, was prepared in 1909 and entered into force on July 1, 1909. After this date, the profession known as Customs Brokerage Profession; It is defined as Customs Consultancy in the Customs Law No. 4458, which came into force in 2000 in accordance with the EU Harmonization Laws Updated with the Customs Union Agreement, and has become a professional branch above the standards defined by the EU-World Customs Organization and the World Trade Organization. The profession of Customs Consultancy, which has an important mission in the development of Foreign Trade, is responsible together with the companies for the correct execution of Imports, which are the biggest item in the state's hot tax collection, and Exports, the most important gate of employment, by sharing all the risks. The Customs Consultancy Profession serves as a bridge between importers, exporters and the state in the face of complex and difficult to understand laws. Customs Consultants are the most important link in the target of 500 Billion Dollars Foreign Trade in 2023, with an educated, young and dynamic generation that constantly updates itself with the responsibilities imposed by the law and legislation.
