1971: Was first founded as Edirne Iplik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. Prior to company's decision to invest in Istanbul, it was renamed as EDIP Iplik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. 1975: The number of its ring yarn spindles amounted to 50,000 upon initiation of the second 25,000-spindle investment. 1970s: As a result of its strong export capability, it was awarded amongst leading exporters in Turkey. 1983: Set-up first group of twisters. 1984: Set-up second group of twisters. 1987: Launched Yarn Dyeing Section . 1989: Started commercial production of Melange Yarn from dyed fiber. 1990: Completed Public Offer followed by the start of Edip Iplik Stocks were traded at the Istanbul Stock Exchange. 1992: Introduced Sewing Yarn as a new product. 1995: Launched first group of Fancy Yarn Twisters. Placed orders for additional Yarn Dyeing machinery and a Co-generation Plant (generating energy from natural gas). Purchased land with an area of 288,300 m2 for plant construction in Lüleburgaz and started construction activities. December 1996: Decease of Mr. Rüstü Akin, President Late 1998: Establishment of the second plant. our Lüleburgaz production facilities came into effect. 06.06.2003: Received ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Certificate from TSE for both plants. June 2007: Recieved ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Certificate from SGS for both plants.
